Winter residential wood and coal burning generates elevated PM2.5 under temperature inversions, while the surrounding Kopaonik, Jastrebac, and Stolovi mountain ridgelines create topographic enclosure that concentrates heating and vehicle emissions during winter anticyclonic periods throughout the Serbian heating season.
