Winter rain at Camps Bay sets up an August-to-November fynbos and oak season, with grass taking over the peak by September and October near the city bowl, harbour, and southern suburbs. What follows is a long, dry Cape summer where pollen counts fall away almost entirely. This mirrors the broader seasonal pattern seen across much of the Cape fynbos belt.
