Solakrossen is a small Rogaland suburban village in Sola municipality on the Jæren coast near Stavanger airport where birch, hazel, and coastal farmland vegetation are the main local pollen sources. The North Sea coastal position means onshore winds can frequently disperse pollen, while the mild Atlantic Rogaland climate advances the season and birch peaks through April and May before grass from surrounding Jæren farmland contributes strongly through June and July and mugwort extends into September.
