Skei is a small Møre og Romsdal village in Ørsta municipality where birch, alder, and mountain farmland vegetation are the main local pollen sources. The enclosed valley setting concentrates pollen under calm conditions, while the very wet Atlantic western Norwegian climate provides very frequent rainfall interruptions and birch peaks through April and May before grass from surrounding farmland contributes through June and July throughout this small Sunnmøre community.
