Roa is a small Akershus village in Lunner municipality on the Hadeland plateau where birch, hazel, and farmland edge woodland are the main local pollen sources. The relatively open Hadeland landscape allows pollen to disperse, while the inland continental climate produces a well-defined seasonal progression with birch peaking through April and May before grass from surrounding Hadeland farmland contributes through June and July and mugwort extends into September throughout.
