Rødberg is a small Buskerud village in Numedal municipality in the upper Numedal valley where birch, hazel, and valley woodland are the main local pollen sources. The upper Numedal valley concentrates pollen under calm conditions, while the inland continental Buskerud climate produces a well-defined seasonal progression with birch peaking through April and May before grass contributes through June and July and mugwort extends exposure into September throughout.
