Lyngseidet is a small Troms village in Lyngen municipality on the Lyngenfjord where birch, alder, and fjord valley woodland are the main local pollen sources. The Lyngenfjord position means onshore winds can periodically disperse pollen, while the subarctic Norwegian climate produces a compressed but intense seasonal progression with birch peaking through May before grass from surrounding Lyngen farmland contributes through June and July throughout this Lyngen Alps community.
