Ølen is a small Rogaland village in Vindafjord municipality on the inner Ølsfjord where birch, alder, and fjordside farmland vegetation are the main local pollen sources. The fjord position means onshore winds can periodically disperse pollen, while the Atlantic-influenced Rogaland climate provides frequent rainfall interruptions and birch peaks through April and May before grass from surrounding Vindafjord farmland contributes through June and July throughout.
