Larsnes is a small Møre og Romsdal coastal village in Sande municipality on the outer Sunnmøre coast where birch, alder, and coastal scrubland are the main local pollen sources. The exposed Norwegian Sea position means strong onshore winds frequently disperse pollen, while the very wet Atlantic western Norwegian climate provides very frequent rainfall interruptions and birch peaks through April and May before grass contributes through June and July.
