Børsa is a small Trøndelag village in Skaun municipality on the Orkdalsfjord where birch, alder, and fjordside farmland vegetation are the main local pollen sources. The fjord position means onshore winds can periodically disperse pollen, while the Atlantic-influenced Trøndelag climate provides frequent rainfall interruptions and birch peaks through April and May before grass from surrounding Skaun farmland contributes through June and July.
