Local Environmental Conditions
This area, in the wider area, has a waterway lined with river oak, a wind-pollinated species and one of the more potent allergen sources along Australian creeks and rivers. A mix of eucalypt and wattle, wattle in particular a notorious trigger for hay fever across southern Australia; this sits within the local area.
Along the waterway, river oak releases pollen first, arriving ahead of the rest of the season, cresting around mid-winter. Further into late winter, the area's eucalypt and wattle stands drive the pollen count, climbing steadily through late winter to a peak in August or September.
