Moora, in WA's northern wheatbelt, combines wandoo and salmon gum woodland remnants with extensive wheat cropping on the cleared plains. The district borders the state's renowned wildflower country, and spring brings a strong bloom of native everlastings and other wildflowers on uncleared reserves alongside the cultivated canola bloom. Wattle flowers earlier, in late winter. This dual wildflower-and-cropping character gives Moora one of the more visually dramatic, and pollen-diverse, spring seasons in the wheatbelt.
