Nordre Follo's air quality benefits from the Oslofjord region's maritime ventilation south of Oslo, with vehicle traffic on the E6 motorway and the surrounding suburban residential and technology corridor contributing local sources in this newly merged Follo municipality. The Oslofjord's consistent maritime ventilation provides reliable background air quality management, while the surrounding Østmarka and Follo forests provide clean-air buffering and the suburban character generally maintains moderate conditions throughout most of the year.
