The flat Dutch terrain provides reasonable dispersal on most days, while North Sea westerlies carry relatively clean Atlantic air and the surrounding Drenthe countryside generally maintains moderate Dutch urban air quality levels with the relatively low industrial base keeping readings below the densely industrialised Randstad cities throughout the year.
