Pallíni's air quality reflects the eastern Athens metropolitan basin adjacent to the Pendeli mountain, with vehicle traffic on the Attiki Odos motorway and the surrounding dense residential and commercial character generating elevated NOₓ under the enclosed Attica basin's persistent temperature inversions. The Pendeli massif to the north provides topographic backdrop, while the Attica basin's characteristic enclosed geometry concentrates all metropolitan emissions across this eastern Athens suburb throughout the year.
