Évosmos' air quality reflects the western Thessaloniki metropolitan industrial corridor, with vehicle traffic on the surrounding Thessaloniki ring road and the dense urban and industrial character generating elevated NOₓ alongside the broader metropolitan industrial background. The enclosed Thessaloniki basin concentrates all emissions under winter temperature inversions, while the Thermaic Gulf sea breezes provide periodic ventilation throughout the year.
