Agia Paraskevi's air quality reflects the northeastern Athens metropolitan basin adjacent to the Pendeli mountain, with vehicle traffic on the surrounding Athenian ring road and the dense residential and academic character generating elevated NOₓ under the enclosed Attica basin's persistent temperature inversions. The Pendeli mountain provides a clean-air backdrop from the northeast, while the Attica basin's characteristic enclosed geometry concentrates all metropolitan emissions throughout the year.
