Sharing the same dune system as its more famous neighbour, Lost Farm sits just along the coast from Barnbougle Dunes on Tasmania's exposed northeastern shoulder, facing the same unbroken sweep of Bass Strait. The same constant westerly winds that define the region sweep across both courses, delivering maritime air with very little local contamination. Bridport itself is a modest coastal settlement, so there is little in the way of traffic or domestic smoke to affect conditions. As with its sister links, the only real seasonal blemish is the small possibility of bushfire smoke drifting in during the height of summer.
