Presidente Franco lies on the Paraná River opposite Foz do Iguaçu in southern Paraguay, where native Atlantic Forest remnants, eucalyptus, and introduced urban trees eucalyptus and introduced urban trees make up the bulk of the pollen here, and grass from surrounding Alto Paraná land contributes through the warmer months.
