Sandymount sits along Dublin Bay's southern shoreline with a wide sandy strand, giving it a sea-tempered pollen season, with salt air softening the spring tree bloom, while the district's green and seafront grassland sustain a fairly typical summer grass presence, and mugwort and nettle along coastal paths add only a light late-season trickle.
