Set among older tree-lined streets and the Taylor Creek ravine system, East York experiences a strong spring tree pollen season thanks to its mature urban forest canopy, with grass pollen following closely behind in the neighbourhood's many small parks and yards, and the ravine's shaded understorey adding a modest but steady trickle of pollen through the warmer months of the year.
