Local Environmental Conditions
The nearest creek or river hosts river oak, among the most allergenic wind-pollinated trees found on watercourses, a short distance from here. Nearby, within easy reach, forest where eucalypt and wattle share the canopy and margins, wattle driving most of the seasonal pollen spike. Nearby, just outside the immediate area, a park where mown turf grass and ornamental plane trees add to local grass and tree pollen.
Near the bank, river oak leads the seasonal calendar, peaking in mid-winter through September. As spring approaches, eucalypt and wattle in the nearby woodland become the dominant source, building to its sharpest point across August and September. Grass pollen takes over next, building to a peak around November, before pollen counts gradually decline through January and February.
