Local Environmental Conditions
Bourke, on the Darling River in the far west, is fringed by majestic river red gums along the watercourse, with the surrounding outback dominated by saltbush and chenopod shrubland and sparse native grasses; irrigated cotton fields near town add a further crop pollen source.
