Kirribilli sits on a harbourside point on Sydney's Lower North Shore, and this highly exposed position gives it excellent natural ventilation from Harbour breezes, with relatively light local traffic compared with inner-west suburbs across the water. Ferries rather than heavy road traffic serve much of the area. There is no industry here. Bushfire smoke is a periodic summer risk from surrounding hinterland further north. Overall, this is one of the better-ventilated, cleaner-air pockets of inner Sydney.
