Renton parkrun takes place along the Cedar River trail in Renton south of Seattle, with alder, cottonwood, and red alder as the main tree pollen sources along this classic Pacific Northwest riverside route. The Cedar River corridor concentrates pollen under calm conditions, while the wet Pacific Northwest climate provides very frequent rainfall interruptions and the intense alder spring peak through March and April precedes grass through June and July throughout.
