Environmental Exposure Detail

The Melbourne Marathon Festival has run since 1978, starting and finishing at the Melbourne Cricket Ground since 2007. Its predominantly flat course skirts the Botanic Gardens and Albert Park Lake with long stretches along Port Phillip Bay.

Birch and other tree pollen usually run high this time of year. On city streets, vehicle exhaust is usually the bigger air quality factor than pollen.
