Arbor Creek — Located within easy reach at 324m, this area has the riverbank shelters hazel and willow, two trees whose pollen travels readily on the breeze. Located some 512 meters to the edge of the area, this area has a canopy of oak and birch, birch chief among them for allergenic potency here.
Water-edge hazel and willow are usually the first allergenic trees active here, building through the tail end of winter into March. Once hazel fades, oak and birch in the woods carry the season forward, topping out in the April-to-May stretch. Grass pollen takes over next, building to a peak around June, before ragweed takes over as the dominant allergen from mid-August through October.
