Local Environmental Conditions
Located at around 450m distant, this area has the waterside growth here is largely hazel and willow, both efficient wind-pollen dispersers. Here, a short trip out, around 700m, a mix of oak and birch trees, birch in particular a notorious spring allergen source. Located conveniently close, some 300-400 meters off, this area has grass and ornamental trees within the park boundary contribute modestly to grass and ragweed levels.
The water-adjacent hazel and willow are early risers, building through the tail end of winter into March. Oak and birch in the woodland come next, through the heart of spring, reaching maximum intensity across the April-May window. By late spring, grass pollen is climbing steadily toward a June high point, and then ragweed picks up the slack, running from mid-August through October.
