The waterside hazel and willow are consistently first to release pollen each year, climbing steadily from late winter into March. By mid-spring, oak and birch in the woods take over, usually hitting its highest point sometime between mid-April and mid-May. Grass pollen takes over next, building to a peak around June, then yields to ragweed, the dominant late-summer and fall allergen through October.
