Afragola's dense Campanian suburban setting produces a season opening with olive, cypress, and lemon in January, with cypress contributing through spring, before grass from surrounding farmland peaks through April and May. Mugwort and nettle extend exposure into late summer, while pollen is largely carried in from surrounding greener areas and the volcanic landscape contributes distinctive local sources.
