Forstenried Park, the extensive woodland southwest of Munich, draws its pollen chiefly from oak, linden, and birch across this large peri-urban forest. Dense tree cover traps pollen on calm days; birch climbs sharply through April and May, forest clearings add grass pollen through June and July, and mugwort persists into September across this wooded southwestern district.
