Local Environmental Conditions
River oak grows along the bank here, releasing fine wind-borne pollen typical of casuarina species, a short distance from here. Woodland where eucalypt stands alongside wattle, the latter especially aggressive as an allergen when in full flower; this sits just around the area. Small shifts in elevation or soil type can move these figures a little either way.
The waterside river oak is consistently first to release pollen each year, getting an early start, typically cresting between July and August. Once river oak fades, eucalypt and wattle in the woods carry the season forward, usually peaking from August into October. Grass pollen counts rise through spring, reaching their peak around November, then persisting at a reduced but still meaningful level into the new year.

Understanding the Scale
The 0–100 scores represent risk levels, not direct measurements of pollen or air pollutant concentrations. Higher scores indicate higher risk. Pollen and air quality use different thresholds.
