Victoria's air quality in Texas benefits from the flat Coastal Prairie terrain providing generally good wind dispersal, with vehicle emissions from US-77 and the surrounding manufacturing and petrochemical corridor — including the DowDuPont Victoria operations — contributing local sources. Gulf of Mexico southerly breezes provide warm-season ventilation, while the flat coastal terrain allows reasonable dispersal and the industrial petrochemical character creates modest elevated background industrial emissions throughout the year.
