Trindade's air quality reflects its position in the greater Goiânia metropolitan area in Goiás, with vehicle emissions from the GO-060 and the surrounding agricultural processing and light industrial character of this Goiânia satellite city contributing local sources. The elevated Central Brazilian Plateau position at 749 metres aids background dispersal, while dry season burning from surrounding Cerrado agricultural land contributes severe seasonal PM2.5 variation between June and September that dominates the regional air quality across the entire Goiânia metropolitan corridor.
