Vehicle emissions from the SP-063 Fernão Dias highway and the surrounding floriculture, technology research, and weekend residential corridor contribute local sources, while the elevated position and the Cantareira's forested backdrop generally maintain better conditions than the São Paulo metropolitan average throughout most of the year.
