Lanseria parkrun takes place in the Lanseria area north of Johannesburg near the airport, with acacia, eucalyptus, and open Highveld grassland as the main pollen sources. Surrounding Highveld grassland and Cradle of Humankind landscape contribute substantial grass and tree pollen, with the summer rainfall season concentrating grass pollen from November to March and the flat, open Highveld allowing pollen to disperse widely throughout.
