Himmel parkrun runs through Papago Park and the desert landscape of central Phoenix, with introduced olive, mulberry, and palo verde as the main pollen sources in this irrigated desert parkland setting. The surrounding Sonoran Desert contributes native shrub pollen seasonally, while the irrigated park vegetation contrasts with the surrounding desert and the spring desert bloom concentrates pollen production from February through April throughout.
