Pine Hills' air quality reflects the flat Central Florida terrain west of Orlando, with vehicle emissions from SR-50 and the surrounding mixed residential and commercial character of this large unincorporated Orange County community contributing local sources. Afternoon sea breezes from both the Atlantic and Gulf coasts converge over central Florida providing reasonable ventilation, while summer ozone from Orlando metropolitan traffic and intense subtropical heat is the primary warm-season concern.
