Bangkok's air quality reflects the flat Chao Phraya delta's enclosed coastal plain, with vehicle traffic on the Expressway network and the surrounding extraordinary vehicle density and manufacturing corridor generating elevated NOₓ and PM2.5. The tropical dry season concentrates emissions under calm anticyclonic conditions from November to April, while the Gulf of Thailand sea breezes provide warm season ventilation and Bangkok's flat basin geometry with limited dispersal maintains consistently elevated readings throughout most of the year.
