'Unayzah's air quality reflects the flat Saudi Arabian Najd plateau's Qassim oasis position at 648 metres adjacent to Buraydah, with vehicle traffic on surrounding roads and the date farming, food processing, and government corridor contributing local sources. Windblown Najd and Nefud Desert dust generates elevated PM10 during dust storm events, while the flat plateau allows reasonable dispersal on most days and Unayzah generally maintains moderate to elevated Najd central Arabian plateau oasis readings throughout most of the year.
