Worst air pollution Ḩaraḑ, today and tomorrow
Today (16 July): Air quality in Ḩaraḑ is very poor. AQI and SO2 are very poor; PM2.5, PM10, NO2, and O3 are poor; HCHO is fair; PM1 is medium; CO is good. Pollution peaks around 12:00 AM (SO2: 100/100).
Tomorrow (17 July 2026): Air quality in Ḩaraḑ is very poor. PM10 increases to very poor; PM1 increases to poor; all other pollutants stay as today. Pollution peaks around 2:00 AM (SO2: 100/100). Airmine updates local air quality forecasts four times daily.

Ḩaraḑ's air quality reflects the flat Saudi Arabian Eastern Province desert plain at 275 metres adjacent to the Aramco Haradh gas processing facility, with vehicle traffic on surrounding roads and the extraordinary natural gas processing operations generating elevated SO₂ and VOCs alongside vehicle sources. The flat Arabian Desert terrain allows reasonable dispersal on most days, while the gas processing complex's industrial scale represents Haradh's most distinctive local air quality contribution throughout most of the year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is air quality bad in Ḩaraḑ right now?
On 16 July 2026, overall air quality in Ḩaraḑ is very poor. AQI is the main air quality indicator at 100/100. Pollution peaks around 12:00 AM (SO2: 100/100).
Will air quality be worse tomorrow in Ḩaraḑ?

When is air pollution at its worst in Ḩaraḑ?
The biggest local contributor to pollution in Ḩaraḑ is traffic on the surrounding roads, particularly once windblown dust events occur. Strong seasonal winds can lift dust from the surrounding dry terrain and push particulate levels sharply higher. This is most noticeable during spring and autumn wind events.
Are air quality levels in Ḩaraḑ based on measurements or forecasts?
It is forecasts derived by downscaling forecasts provided by EU’s Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) by taking into account local conditions such as traffic patterns. CAMS bases its forecast on satellite measurements of particles and chemical compounds in the atmosphere. Airmine’s services were developed with support from the European Space Agency (ESA)’s Business Applications and Space Solutions (BASS) team.
