The tropical wet season's convective rain provides periodic cleansing, while dry season Harmattan dust and the coal mining legacy contribute distinctive coal dust PM10 and Enugu generally maintains moderate to elevated southeastern Nigerian coal plateau capital readings throughout most of the year.
