Consistent East Sea maritime breezes provide coastal ventilation, while the steel and cement operations' industrial scale represents Donghae's most distinctive local air quality contribution and the coastal position generally maintains moderate to elevated Gangwon eastern industrial coastal readings throughout most of the year.
