Zushi's air quality benefits from its exceptional Kanagawa Prefecture Sagami Bay and Pacific Ocean coastal position adjacent to the Miura Peninsula, with consistent Pacific and Sagami Bay maritime breezes providing reliable ventilation. Vehicle traffic on surrounding roads and the beach resort, US military Ikego Housing Area, and residential corridor contribute local sources, while the outstanding Pacific coastal exposure and the Tanzawa Mountain backdrop generally maintain Zushi among Kanagawa's more moderately ventilated coastal cities.
