Qianxi in Guizhou reflects the Guizhou Plateau's karst highland position at 860 metres, with vehicle traffic on surrounding roads and the coal mining and light manufacturing corridor contributing local sources. The elevated karst plateau position aids dispersal on most days, while coal mining dust and residential coal burning generate elevated PM2.5 under basin inversions and the surrounding Guizhou karst topography creates variation throughout most of the year.
