Hejian's air quality reflects the flat Hebei North China Plain's agricultural and light industrial position in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei corridor, with vehicle traffic and manufacturing contributing local sources. Winter anticyclonic inversions and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regional industrial background elevate readings and Hejian generally maintains moderate to elevated Hebei corridor readings throughout the winter months.
