Airmine - Norwegian Space Agency

Advancing the next generation of global pollen forecasting

Kristin P. Grenan

Airmine is grateful for the continued support of the Norwegian Space Agency, which has awarded funding for a new innovation project to further advance our AI-powered pollen forecasting platform.

The project focuses on improving the science behind hyperlocal and global pollen forecasting, helping make forecasts more accurate, reliable and actionable for people around the world.

Together with the Norwegian Space Agency, Airmine is developing the next generation of environmental intelligence by:

  • Improving models for local pollen dispersion
  • Better understanding long-range pollen transport across regions and countries
  • Developing a global wind and pollen season model to improve forecasting accuracy worldwide

By combining atmospheric modelling, weather forecasting, artificial intelligence and environmental data, Airmine continues to strengthen its mission of delivering trusted pollen and air quality forecasts for individuals, outdoor enthusiasts, athletes, event organizers and digital platforms.

The project represents another important milestone in building one of the world's most comprehensive platforms for pollen forecasting, air quality and environmental intelligence, helping people make better decisions about health, outdoor activity, sports, travel and everyday life.

We greatly appreciate the continued collaboration with the Norwegian Space Agency and look forward to the innovations this partnership will bring.
