Grass pollen well under way for South and Central Europe
Grass pollen is the most common pollen allergy in Europe and the season is well under way. Southern Europe sees a relatively early start, with high levels in most of France, Northern Italy and parts of Central Europe. Southern Sweden and the Baltic states are experiencing the onset of the season. The map below gives an estimate of current grass pollen levels.

Cold weather in the north continues
Scandinavia and the Baltic countries will still have to wait for the summer temperatures. In fact, snow still covers much of the land north of the polar circle, obviously delaying the grass pollen season. The south of Europe, in contrast, can expect temperatures normal or higher than usual for the season.

The week ahead – high levels in France and parts of central Europe
The high grass pollen levels in France and Northern Italy are expected to continue, parts of Germany and Poland can also expect red levels. As the weather forecasts for Scandinavia, Finland and the Baltic countries predict low temperatures, we foresee none to low levels in this region.
